 What is the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup?

The Continental GT Cup is Royal Enfield’s flagship one-make motorcycle racing championship. Designed to bridge the gap between professional and amateur racers, this competition promotes racing culture in India through a “Pro-Am” format. It offers everyday riders and trained racers alike a chance to ride the powerful GT-R650 on professionally managed race tracks.

The initiative is more than just a racing event – it's a platform for discovering raw motorcycling talent in India.

 Registration Details for GT Cup 2025

 Registration Period:

• Starts: May 13, 2025
• Ends: June 10, 2025

 Required Documents:

• Valid two-wheeler driving license
• Motorcycle registration certificate
• Optional: FMSCI license or racing school certificate

Registration Fees:

• Online Application: Free
• Zonal Finalists: ₹5,000 + 18% GST
• Professional Shortlist: ₹2,500 + 18% GST
• Final 24 Riders (Grid): ₹20,000 + 18% GST

Please note: Only shortlisted candidates will need to pay the applicable fees.

 Selection Process

The selection happens in two major phases: Zonal Selection Rounds and the Final Selections.

 Zonal Selection Rounds:

Royal Enfield will organize riding tests across 8 major cities:

1.    Chennai

2.    Bengaluru

3.    Mumbai

4.    Delhi NCR

5.    Pune

6.    Hyderabad

7.    Ahmedabad

8.    Guwahati

Each city will host a 2-day selection event:

• Day 1: Training and orientation
• Day 2: Time-based trials to shortlist top performers

 Final Selection:

• Dates: July 3 – July 6, 2025
• Venue: Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore

A total of 24 riders will be selected – comprising 12 professional riders and 12 amateur riders. These participants will form the final racing grid for GT Cup 2025.

 The Bike: Continental GT-R650

The GT Cup uses specially tuned versions of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. These race-spec bikes, called GT-R650, are engineered for performance and agility.
